Intermediate/Senior CAD Drafter & Designer/Field Inspection

 (full-time permanent position)

Location: Kitchener, Ontario

  • Preparation of preliminary and detailed design of site grading, drainage and servicing plans for land development and plan and profile drawings for municipal infrastructure projects;
  • Preparation of preliminary and detailed structural design drawings for buildings and bridges;
  • Preparation of process design drawings for water and wastewater pumping stations, storage and treatment facilities;
  • Completing design calculations for storm sewers, sanitary sewers, watermains and stormwater management facilities;
  • Participating in conceptual and preliminary design strategic team meetings;
  • Coordination with utilities and approval agencies;
  • Developing cost estimates, construction specifications and contract documents;
  • Field work including detailed topographic site surveys and field inspection during construction;
  • Other duties as assigned.



  • Graduate of an engineering technology program or equivalent training. Eligible for or obtained OACETT designation an asset;
  • 3+ years of design related experience
  • Experience and aptitude to work with the following software packages: Microsoft Office, AutoCAD/Civil 3D; knowledge of Revit and Microstation considered an asset;
  • Possess strong organizational, oral, written communication, and problem-solving skills; have an approachable enthusiastic interpersonal style;
  • Possess a valid driver's licence.
