Junior Engineer

(full-time permanent position)

Location: Kitchener, Ontario

Responsibilities:

  • Working directly with Civil Engineers and other project team members as part of an integrated project team, including design and report writing;
  • Participating in the preparation of preliminary and final designs
  • Carrying out contract administration tasks related to municipal projects, including visits to construction sites and reporting on observations;
  • Carrying out field work including structure condition assessments, field measurements, and construction inspections; and
  • Coordinating with other engineering disciplines on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a Civil Engineering program. Eligible for or obtained Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation and licence in Ontario;
  • Demonstrated technical competencies and skills in civil engineering;
  • Motivation to broaden experience in the areas of design, construction, project management, operations and supervision within a multi-disciplinary consulting environment;
  • Experience and aptitude to work with the following software packages: Microsoft Office, AutoCAD/Civil 3D; knowledge of S-Frame is considered an asset;
  • Must be self-starters with the ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment; be prepared for increasing responsibilities;
  • Possess strong organizational, oral, written communication, and problem solving skills; have an approachable enthusiastic interpersonal style;
  • Possess a valid driver's licence.
